"We lost our corkscrew and were compelled to live on food and water for several days." – W.C. Fields

October 4, 2001

As predicted, Al Kascur spared no expense in procuring an expert for us! Jay Wilder, the Training Manager from Churchill Distributors gave an excellent presentation of Rosemount varietals and blends. Al and Tammy provided the excellent weather for ambiance and we were transported "down under". There was one clear winner and the warm-up was given the thumbs up for value. The wines presented:

Next meeting will be Oct 21, 2 PM, at a Nestorick house, where Penne Parker will present wines from over the pond (France and Bordeaux ?). Please reserve your space at xxxxxxx. Planning ahead, on November 18, Barbara Brown will present a paring of food with some kinda red wine.

I guess here is where I pitch for my successor. We need houses and wine hosts for next year. Yours truly will again present something to do with fortified wine in January. March is covered with our annual meeting. Let me know or sign up on the 21st.

In Vino Veritas, Walt
