AMERICAN WINE SOCIETY a non-profit corporation CCAWS House Host Guidelines The House Host provides an important function at each tasting. As House Host, you want to be in touch with the chairperson and the Wine Host to coordinate preparations. Here are the basics for hosting a meeting: Before the tasting: If there is an attendance limitation, notify the chairperson at the earliest possible time. List yourself as the first RSVP attending party, and the number in your party As people call to RSVP, fill in their Party Name and the number of people reserved in Number RSVP'd. Prepare bread, cheese and seating for the number of expected attendees. During the tasting: Give the Treasurer the worksheet with the list of attendees. The Treasurer will also figure in your party's fees, and refund the Cheese Fees for the House Host expenses. The supplies will be forwarded to the next house host by the chairperson or treasurer, or may be done at the meeting
