Newton 2004 Chardonnay

$25.00 suggested retail

Overshadowed by its big brother Newton unfiltered, Newton Chardonnay "red label" is a wonderful expression of balance in Chardonnay. Apple, pear, citrus and melon supported but not overwhelmed by oak. The palate cleansing acidity in this wine makes it a perfect complement for cream based sauces, soft cheeses, of just sipping before dinner. I know many people aren’t excited about Chardonnay but this wine is well made from start to finish and a great example of a better California Chardonnay.

Terrazas Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

$17.99

This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine shows value from start to finish. Argentina once again gives the bargain hunting wine lover a reason to seek out new world wine making from the southern hemisphere. The grapes are grown 15 miles from the city of Mendoza south of the Mendoza river 3,200 feet above sea level. Clay soils, mature vines and warmer temperatures combine to produce high quality, intense fruit, that transforms into a world class wine value. Not for the faint of heart, full of black fruit, oak, spice and tannin. If your local wine shop doesn’t carry Terrazas Cabernet Sauvignon, get them to special order this wine for you now.
